Keron Pierre: fabulous female impersonator

Keron and Noel have a moment a few minutes before the shoot.

Keron Pierre is a determined and ferocious female impersonator, his makeup kit out classes mine and I am forever humbled by his collection of dresses. We photographed Keron at North Point in St Lucy on a rainy Sunday afternoon, the light was quickly fading but with quick changes by Keron and great assistance from his boyfriend Noel, my art director and partner Adrian Charles and I we able to get several great shots from the afternoon excursion.

The idea of shooting Keron over the pool of water in this dress was entirely Adrian’s, we hurriedly tried to find a flat rock for him to stand on but while we were looking Keron daintily picked his way to the centre of the puddle, perched on an unsteady brick in his 5″ heels, and struck a pose. This photograph also appears on National Geographic’s online magazine as a “Daily Dozen” editors pick.
