It was announced today (February 20, 2013) that Rihanna will now be a Creative Partner with MAC cosmetics.Together they will be releasing four collections beginning this year.
This includes a RiRi Woo lipstick which was inspired by MAC bestseller Ruby Woo.
RiRi Woo will be sold at the Rihanna concerts and online, and a summer collection will follow, which will also be sold online. A third will land in brick-and-mortar stores for fall, and there will be an on-counter holiday collection.
The signature piece of the lineup, RiRi Woo, will be sold with all four collections. The summer collection also includes two additional lipsticks, a Lustre Drops shade and a powder blush duo. Fall’s 16 sku’s include four lipsticks, a deeply pigmented Lipglass version of RiRi Woo, two multishade eye shadow palettes and false lashes. (“She likes to wear two pairs at a time,” said Jennifer Balbier, MAC’s senior vice president of global product development, in an aside.) Holiday will bring another 10 items, including nail polish, a makeup bag and additional lipsticks.
It has been a while since I got really excited about a MAC colour collection. However this collection has the potential to see me stalking MAC counters and online releases.
Yes, it is that serious! With MAC collections typically selling out within hours of their release, you have to get the jump on the counters.
Once upon a time I was a true MAC counter stalker, I would call at least a month before release, place my pre-order from my pre-approved list and show up at unreasonable hours just to get my fix.
Do Not Judge Me!
But now, just like Sweet Brown, I dont just have time for that.
But a Bajan Fashion icon releasing a 4 part collection with a brand that really expanded my love for makeup, I definitely I have a little time for Rihanna and MAC.
Will you be interested in this collection?
What was the last MAC collection you purchased from?
Until next post.
